Helping High School Grads

Sometimes life gives you an idea and the heart says: “Go for it”. It’s amazing how things align when something is meant to be...  When we reached out to Duval County Public Schools, we shared an initiative to partner with them for their CTE Program to help high school students once they graduate. Those graduating who have an interest in our trades: Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC would have the opportunity to come work for us and get trained from start to finish. We realized after speaking there are so many students who would love an opportunity but have no idea where to go, let alone the funds to start a rewarding career. Thus, the David Gray Academy was born, and will be launching very soon.

Watch the video of us meeting with the students and administrators at A. Philip Randolph Academies of Technology and had a wonderful time teaching the students a day in the life of a Service Technician. Our #1 Technician on staff here at David Gray made $50k in the last six months only working 43 hours each week. ‼️

We will be traveling to St. Johns Technical High School next month to also share this opportunity for their students who are near graduation.
If you know of a school who would like us to come and teach a mini session on trades and how they can have a rewarding career, contact Amy at marketing@davidgrayonline.com

If you have a student who recently graduated and wants to come on board with us, apply online.

Click to open “Trades Helper” and apply there
We would like to thank the administrators, staff and those at Duval County Public Schools for their absolute passion to the students to succeed in Duval County.

David Gray Academy: Job Fair

This has been a month full of excitement for the students at A. Philip Randolph Academies of Technology. One short week following our visit to the high school, students arrived for an extremely special job fair trip approved by DCPS. They arrived ready to learn all things David Gray and applied for the Trades Helper positions that will be opening up soon. Watch the video of their visit while they learned 'A Day in the Life of a Technician", had a tour and ate the most delicious barbecue from our friends at Willard's Barbecue Junction.

Helping Texans

Skip and Elvis left Jacksonville, FL in one of our largest plumbing trucks filled with plumbing supplies and volunteered 10 days in Austin, Texas to restore water to those in critical need who could not afford a plumber. They worked tirelessly to help as many residents who were affected by the Winter Storm that crippled the state. Watch the video to see some of the homes they helped restore water to.  We appreciate all the phone calls, texts, emails and Facebook posts encouraging them while they were working hard in Texas. We sent every message to them and it kept their spirits going. Without you, our customers, we wouldn't have been able to do this. Thank you.
