1-12-24 Brian Maldonado arrived and checked the compressor. I thought it was going into defrost too often. Brian checked and rechecked to be sure. Everything was OK. Brian explained that the outside temp. on the day of incident was still very cold and that was why the compressor went into defrost cycle so fast. Brian and helper were wonderful and polite and knowledgeable. Thank you! On 12-27-22 Hamid came out to check heat pump as it had frosted up last night. Hamid listened very patiently as I explained what I had found. Hamid calmly explained that he would check the unit and that make sure all was well. Hamid explained how the heat pump would put itself into emergency heat to function properly. That everything was OK and unit had very good numbers. Hamid was so helpful. I tell everyone to call David Gray for all matters. Also in 12-23-22 Tanner and a helper came out to check what I thought was an odd noise. A hissing sound. Tanner very calmly explained the noise was a defrost cycle and even got the compressor to make the sound to confirm that was what I had heard. Then they did a maintenance on whole machine. Since this was the coldest ever weekend for Jacksonville FL I was very pleased. I tell everyone to call David Gray, you all have the nicest techs and installers I’ve ever met. Everyone is patient and calm and explain things so well. Thank you David Gray and all employees.

Of course, our heat pump goes out during the summer heat wave, just like everyone else in Jacksonville, and we called a couple of heat pump companies we’ve worked with before, and they were backed up for a day or more. We have used David Gray for our plumbing work in the past, and I thought I would give them a call. Within a couple of hours of our call, DGHA technician Mike O. shows up to help save the day. He quickly diagnosed that the outside condenser unit was not getting power, checked both breakers, and found a faulty and old breaker on the outside wall of our home was bad. The repair was made quickly, and he double-checked to make sure the system was working properly using diagnostic equipment and said all other parts of the system checked out. The entire operation from the phone call to customer service and the technician visit by Mike O. was prompt, courteous, and professional. The service call was less than $300 and our house was back down to normal temps by the end of the day (went up to around 82 degrees in the house when the heat pump gave out the night before). We wouldn’t hesitate to call DGHA again if we need work done on the heat pump, etc.

On time and professional. Used them before with a plumbing problem. This time my heat pump was out. In just a few hours everything was complete and working properly. I will use them again.
