Checklist for Choosing an Electrician
Unlike some home repairs, electrical work can be particularly tricky - even dangerous - and requires an experienced professional. Here are some tips for finding a reputable electrician:
- Always check your electrician's license. Even if an unlicensed electrician offers you a better deal, it can cost you a lot more if you have to call another (licensed) electrician to replace bad wires, circuits and safety elements.
- Check for insurance coverage. If something goes wrong, you want to be sure the electrician will be able to cover any damages or worker's compensation.
- Don't be afraid to ask about previous work or get references. A good electrician will be upfront about his/her experience.
- Find a reputable company. Check with friends, neighbors and business rating resources (like Angie's List). David Gray has been serving the First Coast for more than 30 years and will send you an experienced electrician to provide quality electric work.
